We exist to glorify God and lead others to Him. We are committed to the teachings of Christ as expressed in His written word and we demonstrate God’s love through serving others.
We're All About Jesus
We trust in the Bible as God’s revealed Word. The Bible shapes our views on God, salvation, good and evil, the church, and much more. Our core beliefs are based primarily on two passages:
Matthew 22:37-40 and 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.
Passages like these remind us what is at the core of being a Christ-follower today. They also keep us from bogging down over issues that divide our attention and our churches. When we identify and act on what is core, we are freed from “majoring in minors” so that we can more fully live out the lives we are called to as individuals and as churches.
From our understanding of the Bible, we hold to these core beliefs:
The Gospel of Jesus
We believe that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
Immersion
We share in Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection as individuals by being buried with Jesus through baptism into death so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.
Romans 6:4
Communion
We share in the Gospel of Jesus as a community by participating in the body and blood of Christ as we take the bread and cup together at the Lord’s Table.
1 Corinthians 11:23
