Marriage Resources
I recently realized that I needed to be more punctual when I overheard my wife refer to me as her late husband.
Would you consider yourself happily married? Is your spouse happily married also? Hopefully, the answer to both questions is yes, but not always. “Happy” times are great, but from my (Vance) limited experience, it’s working together through unhappy times that strengthens a relationship and allows us to experience many other wonderful aspects of God’s design for marriage.
Here are some great resources to help equip you for your current season of marriage and whatever season might be coming next.

Rock Your Family Christian Counseling
“We exist to intersect faith, science, and psychology in order to help as many people and families as possible to heal, grow, and change together wholly from the core of their beings outward for the purpose of attaining meaningful connection with God, themselves, and one another.”
Guardrails (Free video series)
“Growing and continuing to be educated on all things in life is expected and practiced. We study for jobs and careers, hobbies and parenting. Why wouldn’t we do the same or more for a marriage we hope will last?”
Weekend to Remember by FamilyLife (February 28th – March 2nd)
“No marriage is static. Each day, each choice — you’re either moving closer together, toward oneness … or drifting farther apart. At the intersection of a faith-based marriage conference and romantic retreat from everyday life, Weekend to Remember helps couples do just that — choose oneness.”
Closer: A Marriage Retreat for Christian Couples (Dates in April, May, June, September, October)
“We may never notice guardrails, but they are important barriers between us and certain danger. Join us for a conversation with Andy Stanley to find out how to implement guardrails in our everyday lives.”
Focus on the Family Marriage Resources
Links to online content (including a free marriage assessment), Focus on the Family broadcasts, best-in-class books, DVD series, referral recommendations, and more.
P.S. There were people involved in the writing, recording, and publishing of the resources we share, so as we are reminded in 1 Thessalonians 5, we also strive to test everything and hold on to the good.
